As the cold weather finally ceases we know that summer time is right around the corner. Breakaway music festival announced that it will make its way back to Belknap Park in Grand Rapids, MI on August 23rd through the 24th.
The two day festival will include food trucks, local art, and a full lineup well known artists as well as up and comers making noise right now.
Friday is an electronic lovers dream with headliners Kaskade and Louis The Child heating things up.
DJ mega star Kaskade has a long list of cuts that can make arenas dance in unison. He has been adding to that with the two recent collaborations “Love Me Like You Used To” featuring Cecil Gaultand and “Tight” feat. Madge.
Louis the Child has been hard at work in 2019 with their EP release Kids At Play. Remixing their 2018 effort gives it a fresh spin for the new year. Remixes include super producer Troyboi and herobust along with a few others.
Hip-hop & pop artists rule the stage on Saturday. Fresh off his ‘2009’ tour with Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa headlines the second day along with Big Gigantic.
Wiz has been a staple in festival culture for years, so seeing as his latest effort 2009 released earlier in the year, it was only right that he hit the festival stage this summer.
The duo of Jeremy Salken and Dominic Lalli, otherwise known as Big Gigantic have been on the forefront of the electronic music scene for years and 2019 has shown no different as they are booked for several festivals this year.
Blackbear and Bryce Vine follow. Blackbear had an absolutely electric 2018 and is carrying that over to 2019 as his 7th studio album Anonymous is set to drop April 26th. Breakaway is one stop along his current headlining tour. Bryce Vine is on one himself and is finishing it up with his Breakaway 2019 appearance.
Breakaway 2019 is looking to be an unforgettable weekend with a varied lineup of artists. Two day ticket packages as well as single day tickets are available here. The complete line up can be found below.
