A R I Z O N A – St. Andrews Hall – 6.13.19

New Jersey based indie pop band A R I Z O N A headlined St. Andrews Hall as part of the Find Someone tour. The tour is named after their debut single of 2019, “Find Someone.”

The band was recently here in Detroit last summer opening for Panic! at the Disco and was warmly welcomed by fans in the area. The show definitely introduced new listeners to their music, and gained them as dedicated fans because the hall was packed for their headlining show.

The three piece band is made up of Nathan Esquite (guitar), David Labuguen (keys), and Zachary Charles (lead vocals). The stage was set with a beautiful, ambient, neon aesthetic that paired nicely with their sound.

Opening their set with “Not A Single Day (Interlude),” the energy was high from the start. The majority of their set included tracks off of their 2017 album Gallery such as “Annie” and “Electric Touch.”

The genuine happiness of the band radiated across the room, causing fans to smile back and sing along.

The band also included an early performance of their latest single “Nostalgic” to surprise their fans. The single was released a few days following the show and has quickly soared in listens since.

The encore included the band’s single with the late Avicci, “Hold the Line” as well as a closing performance of “Freaking Out.”

Opening for the evening was Morgxn, a sensual R&B artist from Nashville. With a pride flag draped over the mic, there was only confidence, love and talent radiating from the stage.

In May, he released his latest single “A New Way” which can be heard here.
