Dance Gavin Dance to headline the Masonic this Saturday

This Saturday, September 25th, Dance Gavin Dance will finally take the stage at the Masonic Temple of Detroit for their nearly sold-out Afterburner tour. After two tour reschedules, this show is in high demand.
The Afterburner tour is in support of the band’s 2020 release of the same name. The digital-only release of Afterburner (Rise Records) immediately topped charts, hitting #1 across the Current Album, Alternative, Digital, Rock and Heavy Rock charts and #14 on the Billboard Top 200.
Being supported with familiar acts such as Polyphia, Veil of Maya, Eidola, and Wolf & Bear, the line up of this tour package will being a very melodic, heavy, and dance-inspiring vibe to each stop they visit.
Detroit’s post-hardcore fanbase is to be far from disappointed when it comes to the opening acts. Notably the Blue Swan Records alumni bands are in for a treat.
Fans will witness a bit of a different DGD lineup to on this tour date. Since their September 16th Kansas City date, back-up vocalist & guitarist Andrew Wells has stepped up as temporary lead vocalist in place of usual singer Tilian Pearson.

Tilian had unfortunately caught COVID and has had to sit out some of their current tour dates, in hopes to be precautious to the rest of DGD’s support & crew.
It will be exciting to see yet another vocalist take the stage as DGD’s frontman. It will be Wells’ second time on stage each night. With their newest album release The Architect, Wells will be bringing an insane amount of effort to the stage for the remainder of Tilian’s absence.
Tickets are available here as well as venue guidelines regarding COVID-19.
