Grammy award winning artist Miguel stopped by Michigan Lottery Amphitheater as part of his Ascension tour with support from R&B act DVSN.

The venue was packed, as the show had been highly anticipated since Miguel’s last stop here in Detroit. Nonchalant Savant opened the evening. The LA native just released his EP ¡spark! earlier this year, featuring tracks such as “hacerlo” and “mixed signals”.

DVSN took over the stage. The act consists of producer Paul Jeffries (aka Nineteen85) as well as vocalist Daniel Daley. Their slow jams in combination with sexually blunt lyrics created a great vibe in the venue before the headliner.

Finally, Miguel took the stage, opening with a triage of “what’s normal anyway”, “Criminal” and “The Thrill”. His harmonic voice propelled his R&B ballads. The crowd could easily be heard singing along with him.

His set included many songs from his 2017 album War & Leisure including “Banana Clip”, “Come Through and Chill” and “Pineapple Skies”. For long time fans, he included “”Sure Thing” off of his 2010 album All I Want is You.

Miguel closed the evening with fan favorite “Sky Walker”. For more information on where you can catch Miguel, check out his Facebook.
