New Politics release new single “Ozone” with announcement of fifth album

Alt-rock band New Politics announced the upcoming release of their fifth studio album An Invitation to an Alternate Reality with the debut single “Ozone.”

The album is set to release November 1st via Big Noise Records. It is available for pre-order here.

“We’re excited about the release of this new album,” the band states. “In all our darkness this album is a beacon of light.  Our new single ‘Ozone’ is about escaping, it’s about meeting someone you can’t physically be with. This song is an invitation to an alternate reality we hope listeners can escape and make theirs.”

In addition to the single, the band released an accompanying lyric video to highlight the new release.

In support of the album, New Politics will be embarking on the 3 Dimensional Tour with Plain White T’s and The Mowgli’s starting November 12 in Chicago.

The band known for its hit song “Harlem” off of the 2013 album A Bad Girl in Harlem has only grown since then. In addition to the latter, the bands debut self titled album as well as Vikings (2015) and Lost in Translation (2017) have proven their spot in todays music scene.

The band will be here in Detroit on December 18th at St. Andrews Hall. Tickets can be found here.
