Robert Sherman Reacts to Boys of Fall “Overthinking”

Last week, Detroit’s own Boys of Fall released their new single “Overthinking” with an accompanying video. As part of his ongoing live reaction series for The Foundry, magazine co-founder Robert Sherman gives the band a literal standing ovation.
The catchy, up-beat track is everything we know and love from the five-piece. Michael Martenson and Jake Cemer provide seamless melodies. However, this single brings back more post-hardcore elements like Martenson’s powerful screams.
“I think Better Moments was incredible in what it was trying to accomplish,” Sherman says. “Mike has such a great scream and they write heavy music so well for a poppy band. It just leaves you wanting them to do it in every song they put out.”
The single follows the re-release of Better Moments in 2019. The “Gold Edition” includes two bonus tracks as well a two acoustic renditions.

This Wednesday, Sherman will be releasing his reaction to “Terrible Love” from Boston Manor’s new album, GLUE.
