The Front Bottoms co-headlined The Fillmore earlier this month with friends in Manchester Orchestra, and Shannen Moser.

The band released the EP Ann back in the spring and has since then released the single “End of Summer (As I Know)” as well as their collaboration with Manchester Orchestra, “Allentown.”

The large disco ball on the stage set a playful mood for The Front Bottoms set, as they opened with “West Virginia.” Vocalist Brian Sella was full of passion on stage, singing from the heart.

The band covered a good variety of their discography for their set. They included songs from their 2011 self-titled album such as “Maps” and “Beers.” The end of the set included longtime fan favorites though. They closed with “Twin Sized Mattress”, “Twelve Feet Deep” and “Ocean.”

Manchester Orchestra fit the bill perfectly. Aside from their work with the headliner, their honest, raw sound perfectly complemented The Front Bottoms. After opening with “The Maze” the band kept their energy high, and consistently so.

While the majority of their set was from the bands 2017 album,  A Black Mile to the Surface, they did include some old songs. One of which being “I Can Hardly Breathe” off of their 2007 album I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child.

Pennsylvania native Shannen Moser opened the night perfectly with her soft, acoustic vibe. Moser released her second full-length albumI’ll Sing this year. The album includes some of her best work to date, including “Arizona (I Wanna Be Your Man)” and “Every Town.”
