Brookline announces last “show” following release of third EP

New York based alt-rock band Brookline released their EP “Where Do I Go From Here?” last month. This serves as the bands last EP for the foreseeable future due to the deployment of guitarist/founder Mikey Pace in the United States Army.

The group create a definitive blend of genres on the EP. The mix of traits from alternative, pop rock, and post-hardcore allow the group to outline their own unique sound.

“Dive In” kicks off the EP with a punk-rock vibe with lyrics like “You don’t even know what the bottom of the barrel feels like. You don’t have to go, so stand strong and I know you’ll be fine.”

“Day Trip” rests as a juxtaposition as an acoustic ballad. The delicate guitar chords and the soothing harmonies is the perfect track to play in the background of a rainy day.

The EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jake Mannix at Mixed by Mannix in Scotia, New York.

Joining Pace is Dae Bennett (guitars.) Chris Fox (drums) and Tommy Carter (vocals.) The group formed in early 2018 and have quickly made a name for themselves in the Albany music scene.

The new EP follows the release of their 2019 EP Fade; Brookline’s second EP, but first with Carter on vocals.

Recently, Brookline announced that their last show would have been this week. Despite not being able to give a last hoorah like they wanted – they assured fans they were grateful for all of their support.

“Thanks again for your continued support,” the band posted on Facebook. “We wish we could’ve said goodbye in a better way. Luckily, we still have one more music video heading your way. Until then, stay safe and just know that we love you all.”
