Free Throw is currently wrapping up the last leg of their tour  The 31 stop tour featured special guests Macseal, Youth Fountain, and Chris Farren. Free Throw is known for putting on a great show, but fans were eager to catch the openers after hearing rumors of their high energy sets.

The band recently released What’s Past is Prologue early this spring, marking their third full length album.

Macseal kicked off the night, ripping hard on stage to start the evening. Notable songs during the set was the performance of “Cats,” a fan favorite. Alongside the band’s merchandise was pamphlets on gender and consent. It was super rad to see a band spreading social awareness like this with their platform.

Coming all the way from Vancouver, Canada was the band Youth Fountain (by far the farthest from home.) Watching Cody Muraro and Tyler Zanon Take turns singing or play bass brought a super energy feeling to the stage. The bands engagement with the crowd made for a more personal set for fans. Their performance of “Rose Coloured Glass” called for all fans to storm the front of the stage and sing along – proving it’s worth as the bands top song on Spotify.

Solo act Chris Farren set the mood for his set with a projector, christmas lights and knit replica of his head to decorate the stage. Before starting, he guaranteed a “perfect set.” His interaction with the crowd was so lively and creative. There was numerous fun patterns and quotes floating on the stage behind him as he belted out the words to songs like “Search 4 me” and “Human being.”  This was a perfect set to flow into the headliner.

A tiny rain cloud hung in the top left of the stage, lit by some blue and red lights. You could feel the energy in the room getting ready to erupt when Free Throw walked out on stage.

The band has such a roller coaster of emotions in their songs that the crowd goes from singing to screaming at the stage, creating a fun environment.  Playing a little bit of everything from their discography brings old and new fans together and had everyone screaming along to heavy hitters like “Two Beers In” and recently released “The Corners Dilemma”.

As always Free Throw never lets down, providing a high energy set that brings fans together.
