My Chemical Romance (MCR) is back-ish

Much like a phoenix rising from the ashes the rumors have been confirmed – My Chemical Romance, affectionately known as MCR, is indeed playing a reunion gig. The emo icons announced the Los Angeles show for December 20 at the Shrine Expo Hall.
Whether or not new music is in the works is still up in the air. However, theories are starting to flood social media.
The band has currently updated their social media with a new look, including a series of posts on their Instagram story.
This show will be the band’s first since their split in 2012. MCR released 4 albums as a band spanning 12 years.
Tickets are expected to sell out early. They go on sale tomorrow at 12 P.M. PCT and can be purchased here.
Since disbanding in March 2013, Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Mikey Way and Frank Iero have each had successful side projects including Way’s comic book turned Netflix-adapted show, The Umbrella Academy.
This announcement comes on the heels of the 9th anniversary of their October 2006 release of The Black Parade.
The question then becomes… how many fathers are going to take their sons into the city?
