New Politics to headline St. Andrews Hall after release of fifth studio album

New Politics will headline St. Andrews Hall in Detroit with special guests The Plain White T’s and The Mowgli’s on December 18th.

The band recently released their fifth studio album An Invitation to an Alternate Reality. The same high energy tracks that allowed listeners to fall in love with the band’s 2010 self-titled album stand prevalent on this body of work.

“With this album we wanted to give an escape to an alternate reality allowing everyone to interpret the music and lyrics in a way that’s meaningful to them,” says singer David Boyd in a press release.

The album was announced with the debut single “Ozone” one month ago.

This marks the band’s first album with BIG NOISE and producer John Feldmann.
