Resurget Quarantine Playlists

At a time of confusion, uncertainty and disrupt due to the COVID-19 virus, we find ourselves looking for a sense of comfort and normality. The ability to listen to music is one thing that has stayed constant through it all.
A handful of our staff has curated their perfect quarantine playlist to share with our readers.
Robert Sherman, co-founder of the magazine curated a playlist full of alt-rock hits. It features “Stop” from Silverstein’s most recent album A Beautiful Place to Drown. However, things take a turn towards a pop-punk vibe with Knuckle Puck’s “Tune You Out.”
Janelle Santacruz, staff writer and photographer compiled a playlist that contains a complimentary blend of genres. It kicks off appropriately with Joy Division’s “Isolation” and continues into hits like “My World” by Code Orange. Detroit’s own If Only, If Only makes an appearance as well.
Hannah McWhorter, staff writer and photographer starts her playlist off with the lighthearted 1975 track, “Me & You Together Song.” Her alt-indie blend makes the perfect pair to a relaxing day at home. Jonny Greenwood’s “House of Woodcock” is a beautiful instrumental that slows things down before a fun throwback to select One Direction hits.
Resurget staff writer Ryan Miller compiled a playlist with a nod towards the (hopefully) warmer weather and blooms to come. The selection includes “In Your Eyes” – a track from The Weeknd’s latest album, After Hours. His pop driven playlist includes hits from SZA, Dua Lipa and more.
Editor-in-Chief Kailey Howell curated a playlist that hits every mood. Heavy hitters include the latest August Burns Red single “Paramount” and Polaris’ “Hypermania.” This contrasts greatly with G-Eazy and Delacey’s sensual duet “Cruel Intentions.”
