RIVALS turn heads on The Awakening Tour

Dark-pop band RIVALS is quickly making a name for themselves since the release of their debut album Damned Soul via Smartpunk Records this past February.
Vocalist Kalie Wolfe’s talented vocals give weight to the emotional lyrics. Wolfe’s presence on stage demands that she be taken seriously, earning her a spot alongside other powerhouse female vocalists like Lynn Gunn (PVRIS).
The song’s title track discusses what it’s like to put your faith into the wrong person and then watch them walk over everything you tried to do. The band partnered with Billboard to release it’s accompanying music video.
“I wrote it as a way to essentially let go, to say ‘I’m already messed up. I don’t need you to mess me up even more” Wolfe told Billboard.
Accompanied by bassist Sebastian Chamberlain, guitarist Micket Woodle, and drummer Josh Alves, the band has been turning heads as support of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus on the Awakening Tour.
Resurget Magazine founder, Robert Sherman, was astounded by the up-and-coming band’s presence at The Shelter in Detroit. RIVALS provided direct support to The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, but shone through on the night. RIVALS easily stole the show, quickly gaining fans throughout their performance. Wolfe and her band fought through technical difficulties with grace and humor, and gave the most energetic and impressive sets of the night.
