The Nectars’ Sci-Fi Television is the soundtrack to this summer

“In combination with the ever changing punk rock riffs to indie bops, the album has a diversity that blends together to give a powerful attitude.”
The Nectars, a punk band hailing from New Jersey released their album Sci-Fi Television earlier this summer via JABA Music. The album has quickly become an album we’ve been listening to on repeat.
For fans of Riot!-era Paramore and classic No Doubt, The Nectars should be on your radar. Sci-Fi Television is loud, demanding to be jammed along to. Songs like the first track on the album, “Holy”, embody this feeling.
However, The Nectars prove that there’s more to them than just that. The track “We Will Run” pulls more of an indie feel. The song and it’s accompanying video reflect the feeling of an endless summer filled with youthful bliss.
Jess Kenny provides a powerful range of vocals. From the badass, empowering anthems to the delicate, higher range and even some hints of blues, she leads the high energy sound of the album. In combination with the ever changing punk rock riffs to indie bops, the album has a diversity that blends together to give a powerful attitude.
“Lights Off” is currently being featured on our Summer Jams Spotify playlist. The slow, deep intro is one that you can easily rock along to with the windows down and radio blaring.
Sci-Fi Television is available for streaming and purchase on major music distributors. Follow the band on Facebook to keep up to date with what they have in store.
