Local Shows of the Week

Detroit’s local scene is jam packed with talent, making it hard to chose who you should see over the weekend. We’ve compiled our top choices and provide you with a rundown of what you can expect from each show.

Before buying tickets online, we always recommend reaching out to the local bands themselves for tickets to show your support.

Friday, November 22nd – Mac’s Bar – Lansing
Greet Death’s Album Release Show with Moss Jaw, Grey Matter, and Bombastic Dream Pussy.

Local artists Greet Death will be performing songs off their eerily dreamy sophomore album, New Hell, in Lansing this weekend.  Playing alongside them to make sure the gig reaches its full not-so-alternative feel are Moss Jaw, Grey Matter, and Bombastic Dream Pussy.  Each of the bands are as otherworldly as the next. Tickets and information can be found here.

Friday, November 22nd – Small’s Bar – Hamtramck: Who Boy’s EP Release Show with The Doozers, Why Bother, and TY.

Detroit’s Who Boy will be debuting songs of their promised new EP titled Appetizers at Small’s Bar in Hamtramck. The Doozers and Who Boy will have you dancing by the end of the night while TY and Why Bother ensure to have you headbanging. Tickets and information can be found here.

Friday, November 22nd – The Pike Room – Pontiac: Young Ritual with Formerly Bodies, Dawning, and Alyssa Wettlaufer.

If you weren’t already overwhelmed by Friday’s choices, here’s another!  Young Ritual have their first headlining show at The Pike Room.  Joined by Formerly BodiesDawning, and Alyssa Wettlaufer, this gig will soothe your inner guitar-playing soul. Tickets and information can be found here.

Saturday, November 23rd – Mac’s Bar – Lansing:  Bogues and Summerbruise with She/Her/Hers and Parkway and Columbia.

Another show at Mac’s Bar in Lansing will have the touring bands Bogues and Summerbruise performing their hard-hitting hits.  Joined by She/Her/Hers and Parkway and Columbia to show emo’s slightly, but not by much, softer side. Tickets and information can be found here.
