Punk rock favorite The Menzingers came through Pontiac, MI last Friday on their North American Tour. Supporting acts such as Tiny Moving Parts and Daddy Issues were also great acts to catch that evening.

The band originally formed in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 2006 and since have released five albums. Their most recent single “The Freaks” music video was released about a month ago.

Daddy Issues is a three-piece female grunge band based out of Nashville, Tennessee. They opened the night up at The Crofoot. Daddy Issues put out their second LP in 2017 titled Deep Dream which you can stream here.

Minnesota’s pop-punk trio Tiny Moving Parts brought high energy as always to the stage. They opened up with “Headache” which is a favorite off of their 2016 LP Celebrate. Vocalist and guitarist Dylan Mattheisen was heavily engaged with the crowd and always brings a special feeling to every Tiny Moving Parts set.

Fans of all ages cheered with excitement as the headline act stormed the stage. The Menzingers came out on stage to Elton John’s “Philadelphia Freedom” which quickly turned into “After The Party” from their most recent 2017 album.

The band threw it back with a good chunk of their setlist being off of their 2012 album On the Impossible Past. Songs off the album included “Burn After Writing” and “Good Things.”

The band performed an extensive 21 song set that included a three-song encore. The encore started with “Midwestern States”, and followed with “Gates” and “Tellin’ Lies.”

The Menzingers will be a part of two holiday shows this season. Dates and tickets can be found here.
